Best of Scootering - 1990-94

Introduction from the Editor:

Welcome to the second in this series of publications featuring some of the very best bits of Scootering magazine from its launch in 1985 through to the present day.

The early nineties saw Scootering itself undergo some important changes. Firstly it bought rival title Scooter Scene then there was a change of editor, before it was sold back to a consortium of scooterists led by the ex-editor of Scooter Scene and was relocated to Weston-super-Mare.

Subtle changes to the magazine title can be seen on the cover spreads included in this bookazine. I was to join the staff in March of 1993.

Attendances on UK national rallies started to drop off from the eighties, although many riders also began to venture across the channel in larger numbers –firstly through the

NSRA (National Scooter Rallies Association) euro rallies

and then the infamous Holiday in Holland rally, the first

one of which was partly organised through this ver y

magazine.

So, I hope you enjoy looking back at this snapshot in time

as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
